BATH — Seventh- and eighth-grade classes at Bath Elementary School are switching to remote learning for the next two weeks because of COVID-19 protocols.

“The teachers in grades seven and eight, a large majority of them have now entered the COVID quarantining protocol, as a teacher had tested positive and the rest of them had all gathered for a meeting,” Superintendent Matthew Cheeseman said.

The families of the students whose teacher tested positive will be contacted, Cheeseman said.

Seventh- and eighth-grade students will be able to return to in-person learning on Thursday, Feb. 4. The switch to remote learning only affects those grade levels. The rest of the school can continue with in-person classes.
