Beaufort County reported 46 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, raising its total case count to 3,969. Health officials now know of 405 active cases of COVID-19 among county residents.
Tuesday’s report from the Beaufort County Office of Emergency Services and Beaufort County Health Department also showed that 36 more county residents had recovered from the virus. In total, 3,487 Beaufort County residents have recovered from COVID-19.
Ten county residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. None of them are on ventilators.
North Carolina reported 2,926 cases and 67 COVID-19-related deaths Tuesday.
Eastern North Carolina counties with total confirmed cases include: Bertie, (1,537), Beaufort (3,969), Bladen (2,645), Brunswick (6,669), Carteret (3,795), Camden (470), Chowan (1,230), Columbus (5,214), Craven (7,256), Currituck (1,124), Dare (1,701), Duplin (5,292), Edgecombe (4,020), Gates (552), Greene (1,972), Halifax (4,352), Hertford (1,806), Hyde (589), Jones (592), Lenoir (4,656), Martin (1,880), New Hanover (13,869), Northampton (1,522), Onslow (13,152), Pamlico (775), Pasquotank (2,714), Pender (4,141), Perquimans (775), Pitt (15,480) Sampson (6,154), Tyrrell (264) Washington (800), Wayne (9,319) and Wilson (7,438). Mecklenburg (87,233), Wake (65,716), Guilford (35,355) counties have the most cases.
