Gladys Marie Edwards, age 91, a resident of New Bern, NC died Saturday February 20, 2021. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday February 26, 2021 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be officiated by Rev. Kenneth Dixon.

Ms. Edwards was born in Beaufort County on December 22, 1929 to the late Ottis Edwards and Fannie Lewis Edwards. She attended Chocowinity High School. Ms. Edwards enjoyed reading her bible, doing crossword puzzles, talking about the Lord, helping others, and listening to Gospel singing.

Survivors include her children; Charles Spain and wife Carol, Billy Woolard and wife Brenda, Kathy Watson all of New Bern, 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her siblings; Guy Edwards, Mayhue Edwards, Ruby Baker, Margaret Nelson.
