Mrs. Evelyn P. Cutler passed away peacefully at her home at 11:11 a.m. on March 8, 2021, after a long battle with renal failure.

Evelyn was born on September 1, 1942 in Norfolk County, Virginia to Lucy Braswell Page and Raymond Page. She grew up in Virginia and Bath, North Carolina, where she was raised by her grandmother Bessie Braswell, alongside her beloved aunts, Evon, Norma, and uncle George. She graduated from Bath High School in 1960. She moved to Washington, North Carolina with her late husband Ollie Ray (Buddy) Cutler, where they raised one daughter, Sheri. Evelyn had many careers during her lifetime, including homemaker, Beaufort County School System, and Social Services, where she retired.

Evelyn was very passionate about church, genealogy, and her family and friends. She was also passionate about reading, learning, and helping others. She was very active in her church community at Woodards Pond Church of Christ and was a member of the Beaufort County Genealogical Society. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she made an impact on everyone who knew her.

Mrs. Cutler was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Ray (Buddy), mother Lucy, father Raymond, aunt Norma Berry Carawan, and uncle George Braswell.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheri Cutler, her granddaughter, Savana Parrish, her grandson in law, Alex Rowe, her aunt Evon O’Brien who was like her sister, a son in law, a grandson, great-grandson, great-great granddaughter, 3 sisters in law, a brother in law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many more beloved family members and friends.

Plans are being made for a memorial service to be held in the near future. The family will provide updates when plans are finalized, for those who wish to attend.
