Mr. Royal Victor Sundeen, age 79, a resident of Belhaven, NC died Monday March 29, 2021 at his home.

Services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Sundeen was born in Beaufort County on January 29, 1942 to the late Frederick Penn Sundeen and Thelma O’Neal. He was a member of the United States Air Force. Mr. Sundeen acquired a diesel mechanics degree from Beaufort County Community College. He worked for Allied Towing as a chief engineer until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed playing golf, working with his hands, woodworking, being around the water, and taking care of his wife.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Moore Sundeen; two sons, Louie Lewis Ussery and wife Susan of Pantego, Gilbert George Sundeen and Arlene Griffin of Pinetown; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a son, Thomas Ervin Ussery and a daughter, Kimberly Carmela Jones.
