Mrs. Margaret W. Perz, age 83, a resident of Blounts Creek, NC died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Inpatient Hospice in Greenville, NC.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington 2:00 PM Monday April 5, 2021 and will be officiated by Johnny Pressley.

Mrs. Perz was born VC            in Hampstead, NY on March 26, 1938, daughter of the late Fred T. Popken and Frieda Thal Popken.  On June 30, 1989, she married Frank Perz, Sr. who preceded her in death on June 5, 2009.  In 2000, they moved to Blounts Creek.  She was a former member of the Chocowinity United Methodist Church and a member of the choir.  She was a current member of the First Church of Christ in Washington.  Mrs. Perz volunteered at Vidant Beaufort Hospital for 8 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother: Fred Popken.  She is survived by many good friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Church of Christ, 520 E. 10th Street, Washington, NC  27889.
