Kathryne Watson Morton, age 83, passed away peacefully at Crystal Coast Hospice House on April 1, 2021.  She was born in Washington, NC on January 22, 1938 and graduated from Washington High School in 1956.  She spent most of her adult years living in New Bern, NC. 

Kathryne is survived by her children, Mickie Stroud and husband David, and Ed Morton, all of New Bern, and sisters Nancy Fox of Wake Forest and Evelyn Kahn (Harry) of Zebulon.  Lovingly known as Grammy, she adored her grandchildren, Ryan Wilson, Chelsea Wilson, Robert McKeithan, Geordan Stroud, Darby Stroud, Cullen Stroud, and great-grandson, Connor McKeithan.  Kathryne spent many years working with Drs. Wendy and Radford Moeller helping to care for their four children.  She had a special love for them and felt blessed to be a part of their family.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, NC and will be officiated by Reverend Dr. Harry R. Kahn, Sr.
