Florence Ratchford, 84, of Jefferson City, MO passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, Good Friday, to go home to be with the Lord.

Flossie, as she was known by those who knew and loved her, was born October 28, 1936 in Patton, PA to the late Elmer and Louise (Buck) Dietrick.  On April 18, 1959, Flossie married James Ratchford in Patton, PA.  Whether it was being a “chef”, sewing, cross stitching or crafting, Flossie loved spending time with her family including her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bunco and Dominos, and visiting with the ladies in her Red Hat Society. One of her favorite pastimes was going boating and fishing with Jim. Flossie loved to host crab feasts with her friends and family and  dinners featuring her favorite East Coast scallops and crabs.  Flossie was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and took comfort in praying the rosary.  Her kindness and loving heart, reflected in her smile and eyes, will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her three children; Louise Borrelli of San Diego, CA, Lynn Ratchford (Guy Krause) of Jefferson City, MO; Louis Ratchford of Fairfax, VA; two grandchildren, Michaela and Benjamin Krause; two brothers, Robert (Marjorie) Dietrick of Greensburg, PA, William (Joanne) Dietrick of Houtzdale, PA and a sister, Janet Yuknavich of Patton, PA.  Flossie was preceded in death by her husband, James, “Jim”, on October 20, 2011; brother, Lewis Dietrick; sister, Delores Dietrick; and brother-in-law, George Yuknavich.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 8 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 North 10 Mile Dr., Jefferson City.

Main St., Jefferson City with Reverend Louis Nelen officiating.  The general public is welcome to attend while following social distancing guidelines.  Facial coverings are required while in attendance.
