Mr. Dodge Franklin “Frank” Buck, age 83, a resident of Market Street Ext., Washington, died Monday, April 12, 2021 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

Graveside services were held 1:00 PM Wednesday April 14, 2021 at the family cemetery on the farm at Avenue Road, Washington, NC conducted by Mr. Reggie Braziel.  

Dodge Buck III, Johnson Buck, Jason Buck, and Ray Hardee served as pallbearers.

Mr. Buck was born in Pitt County on December 28, 1937.  He was the son of the late Jesse Bryant Buck and Velma Hodges Buck.  Mr. Buck was the retired Head of the Packaging and Labeling Department at Burroughs-Wellcome.  He was a member of the Old Ford Church of Christ.  In his spare time, Mr. Buck enjoyed cutting grass, cutting wood with his sons, and spending time with his grandchildren.

On March 27, 1964, Mr. Buck married the former Valerie Rawls, who survives.

Surviving with his wife are three sons, Troy Lee Buck and wife, Debbie, Dodge Franklin Buck, Jr. and wife, Kathy, Nicholas Bryant Buck, and Kaylie all of Washington; grandchildren, Jason Buck, Jeanna Katherine Buck-Simpson and husband, Michael, Dodge Franklin Buck III, Johnson Buck; great grandchild, Dennis Jace Buck; four sisters, Pearl Moore, Carolyn Williams, Evelyn Buck, Janice Boyd and his dog, Lizzie.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Buck is preceded in death by four brothers, Delon Buck, Jimmy Buck, Ted Buck, Joseph Buck and three sisters, Laura Elks, Vivian Elks, and Aileen Mills.

The family received friends following the service at the graveside.
