Janel Dorren Silverthorne Rowe, 62, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Janel was born in Pitt County on December 21, 1958, to David M. Silverthorne and Beatrice O’Neal Emmert (Phil).

She was a member of Washington Fifteen Street Church of God and was a member of the Ladies in Faith Together at Rose Bay Church of Christ.

She enjoyed making crafts, speaking to people, and reading her Bible.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Washington Fifteen Street Church of God with Pastor Randy Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Fulford Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Phil Emmert.

In addition to her mother and stepfather surviving are two sons, Joseph Lee Rowe of Aurora and Jacob Lee Rowe of Ahoskie; two brothers, Dana Silverthorne and Silver Jean Silverthorne both of Washington; one niece, Natlie S. Woolard and one nephew, Dalton Silverthorne.
