The Hyde County Health Department will stop offering extended hours, effective immediately.

These extended hours were put in place after the Hyde County Health Department polled the community to find ways we could better serve the residents of Hyde County. One of the recommendations made by a majority of pollsters was offering extended hours to accommodate people who work. For the months of June and July, the Health Department has been open until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings to see patients by appointment or walk in. The health department has only seen two patients during these extended hours.

Because this extended hour clinical service has not been used, the health department is cancelling this service, effective immediately. The health department will continue to remain open to meet the needs of the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will see patients on an appointment or walk-in basis.

The Hyde County Health Department is available at 252- 926-4399 for non-COVID related appointments. For COVID-19 related appointments like testing and vaccine administration, call 252-926-4467.
