Belhaven’s filing period for the 2021 municipal election ended Friday.

Belhaven is now the only Beaufort County municipality with a contested mayoral race. Incumbent Mayor Ricky Credle is running against Arthur Bonner for that seat.

Two Alderman seats are up for election this year. Incumbent Ricky Radcliffe is unopposed in his re-election bid as an East End alderman. Appointed alderman Greg Satterthwaite and Bobby Freeman are vying for one spot representing the West End.
