Mr. Kenneth Elwood “Ken” Woolard, Jr., age 60, a resident of U.S. Highway 17 North, Washington died Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Phil O’Carroll.

Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on April 28, 1961.  He was the son of the late Kenneth Elwood Woolard, Sr. and Lona Mae “Tink” Moore Woolard.  Known as the “Bread Man”, Mr. Woolard worked for Franklin Bakery for many years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf every Sunday, fishing, and playing guitar.On November 3, 1997, Mr. Woolard married the former Sandra Ann Scott, who survives.

Surviving with his wife are his children, Kenneth Elwood Woolard III and wife, Karen of Perdido, Alabama, Christopher Brooks Woolard and his fiancée, Renee Harper of Washington, twins Hunter Zackary “Zack” Woolard of Raleigh, Dakota Rain “Kodi” Woolard of Washington and Stori Elizabeth Woolard of Washington and grandson, Asher Cayde Woolard.
