RALEIGH — Mrs. Martha Gery Bowen, age 83, a resident of Morningside of Raleigh, died Sunday, October 10, 2021.

Mrs. Bowen was born in Durham, NC on February 15, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Delma Louis Gery and Louise Parker Gery. Mrs. Bowen was a member of Hillyer Memorial Christian Church in Raleigh and a member of the Choir. On June 28, 1970 she married Floyd Clinton Bowen, Jr.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Martha O’Neil Hinely, Johanna Grace Bowen (Joel), and a son, Floyd Clinton (Clint) Bowen III (Lynne); a granddaughter Holly Hinely Carter (Loyal); two great grandchildren, Dailyn Bryce Toler and Hayden Claire Toler; a sister Frances (Jo) Gery Garrett; a niece Carolyn Elizabeth Garrett, and a nephew James Harold (Jay) Garrett III.

A private service will be held on October 21, 2021, officiated by Rev. Troy Tatum.
