Mr. Lloyd Wayne Davis, age 78 of Pantego finished his earthly race and went to the arms of Jesus on November 4, 2021.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday November 8, 2021 at Union Grove Church of Christ and will be officiated by Johnny Pressley. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born on July 5, 1943, to the late David Bernard Davis and Fannie M. Davis of Pungo. He was a lifelong preacher of the gospel and the current minister of Wenona Church of Christ in Pike Road. Mr. Davis was also a retired rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Faye Waters Davis, three children, Mike Davis, Julie Davis William (Tom), Danny Davis (Jaime), four grandchildren, Amber Smith, Samuel Davis, Nathan Davis, Emily Davis, two sisters, Patsy Davis Harris, and Sandra Davis Belch (Doug).
He was preceded in death by a brother, David B. Davis, Jr. and a sister, Joyce Matthews Page.
The family will receive friends Monday November 8, 2021 at Union Grove Church of Christ following the service.
