Mr. Robert Evins Price, Sr., age 84, a resident of Everetts Crossroads community, Pinetown, died Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home.

The family received friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, December 20, 2021 at Everetts Church of Christ, and other times at his home.

Funeral services were held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Everetts Church of Christ, conducted by Dennis R. Davis. Burial followed in the Boyd family cemetery, Respess Road, Pinetown.

The following served as pallbearers: Larry Pinkham, Timothy Boyd, Jim Woolard, Gregory Ormond, Jr., Butch Oliver, and Gary Chrismon.   Steve Dickerson and members of the Everetts Church of Christ church board served as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Price was born in Martin County on December 30, 1936.  He was the son of the late John Daniel Price, Sr., and Emma Jane Hardison Price.  Mr. Price attended Jamesville schools.  He was the owner and operator of Price Auto Sales and Price Grocery for over 55 years. Mr. price was a member of the Everetts Church of Christ where he served as a deacon.  He was very active in playing his guitar in several gospel music groups as long as his health permitted. In his spare time, Mr. Price enjoyed fishing and taking his sons hunting.

On June 1, 1957, Mr. Price married the former Annie Laura Boyd, who survives.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, Robert Evins “Bobby Jr.” and wife, Anita of Pinetown, William Lane “Lanie” Price and wife, Pam of Pinetown; four grandchildren, Robert E. Price III and wife, Sarah, Katie Elizabeth Price, William L. Price, Jr., Bethany Price Kirk; two step-grandchildren: Elizabeth Sparrow Hughes and Ethan Sparrow; and six great grandchildren, Caleb Kirk, Nathan Kirk, Ada Grace Kirk, Grady Bright, Jaxon Hughes, and Isaiah Strader.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Price was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry Price, James Lloyd Price, J.D. Price, Jr., Carol Eugene Price and Harold Leo Price; and four sisters, Laura Moon, Eula Lee Beal, Nellie Barber, and Jessie Dickerson.
