Rep. Greg Murphy (NC-03) released the following statement after being chosen to serve on the House Ways and Means Committee and Health and Oversight Subcommittees for the 117th Congress.

“I am honored to serve as an advocate for North Carolina on the Ways and Means Committee,” said Murphy. “As vice chair of the House GOP Doctors Caucus and a practicing physician of more than 30 years, I look forward to utilizing my expertise to generate meaningful health care policy on behalf of the American people. We have many challenges on our horizon this year, but I am confident that House Republicans are well-positioned to fight for expanded economic opportunities and affordable health care for families and businesses, in addition to promoting policies that incentivize American innovation and job growth. I want to thank my colleagues, including Ways and Means Republican Leader Rep. Kevin Brady (TX-08) for this incredible opportunity to serve my constituents, and my country.”
