Anthony Adam Weichel, age 92, a resident of Washington, NC died Tuesday January 25, 2022 at MacGregors Downs Nursing and Rehabilitation in Greenville, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday February 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

Mr. Weichel was born on March 24, 1929 in Wabasha, MN to the late Anthony Weichel and Aurelia Jean Zseller. He was a member of the Air Force of the United States from 1950 until 1954. Mr. Weichel was a member of the DAV and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, wine tasting, and making scale model aircraft.

Survivors include his two sons, Anthony Wayne Weichel and wife Carol of Apex, Reed Allen Weichel of Garner, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one sister Mary Jean Tomatore.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Beaufort County DAV, Chapter 48, c/o Juanita White, 306 Helens Lane, Washington, NC  27889.
