John E. Hudnell, a resident of Aurora, N.C., died Thursday, February 17, 2022 at home.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 18, 2022 at White Hill Cemetery. The service was officiated by Pastor Owen L. Peele.

He was born in Beaufort County on October 3, 1937, son of the late Walter Staley Hudnell and the late Buelah Swain Hudnell.

John was a lifetime farmer and retired in 2015. He loved the outdoors and was an avid bird hunter and fly rod fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Spruill Hudnell.
