Raymond L. Robinson, 69, of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Raymond Robinson was born in Platte County, Wyoming on May 14, 1952, to the late Francis Lavern and Madeline Brown Robinson.

Raymond served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Specialist Fifth Class Raymond Robinson was awarded six purple hearts and four air medals, two with “V” for Valor.  Specialist Robinson’s heroic actions were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflected great credit upon himself and the United States Army.  His later working years were in the agricultural field as a crop duster pilot.

No services will be scheduled at this time.

He is survived by a son, Devin Robinson of Oklahoma; two brothers, James Robinson and wife Anita of Nenzel, Nebraska, and Tony Robinson of Terry Town, Nebraska; and two sisters, Anna Reid and husband Bruce of Florence Montana, and Mary Hubbard and husband Chris of Aurora, Colorado; and one grandchild.
