Chocowinity — Mrs. Lois Faye Dudley, 85, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:30 PM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Vanceboro. Burial will follow in Chapman’s Cemetery at Dudley Crossroads. Prior to the funeral service, the family will receive

Mrs. Dudley, a native of Beaufort County, had lived in Newport News, Virginia before later relocating to Chocowinity.  After returning to North Carolina, she became a member of the Chocowinity United Methodist Church.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse G. Dudley and daughter, Cindy Dudley.

She is survived by her three sons, Robert S. Dudley of Chocowinity, Jesse Dudley of Newport News, VA and Richard Alan Dudley of Chocowinity; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Rev. William A. Taylor and Phillip Travis Taylor.
