ROCKY MOUNT- James Allen Toler, age 57, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Born in Havelock County, NC on August 27, 1964, he was the son of Cecil Allen Toler and the late Mary Lois Jones Toler.
James loved playing poker. He enjoyed gardening, it reminded him of the old days helping his grandfather on his farm. James was a great skater and always had a crowd around him at the rink when he would take his daughter skating. He had a lot of charisma which made him a great salesman. James loved fast cars. He was a loving person and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. James is now at peace with his beloved mother.
James is survived by his wife of 24 years, Vivian Bunn Toler; his daughters, Emily Toler, of Georgia, and Makayla Smith, of Raleigh; his sister, Jennifer Elks (Carl), of Chocowinity; and his special friend and first love of 45 years, Donna Elks Pittman, of Washington.
Services will be private.
