Allen Michael Boyd, age 22, died peacefully at his home in Williamston on March 31, 2022.

Allen Michael, also known as Mikey to his family and friends, was born on August 11, 1999, in Beaufort County to Allen Boyd and Allena Floyd Hale. He attended Southside High School and worked in construction, most recently installing fences.

Allen Michael is survived by his mother and stepfather, Allena and David Hale of Chocowinity, father and stepmother Allen and Erin Boyd of Greenville, brothers, Darian and Jordan Hale, and sister, K-Leigh Boyd.  He is also survived by his grandparents,Myra Sullivan, whom he affectionately called his Nana, Bert and Paula Boyd, Debbie and Lorenzo Diaz all of Washington, David and Debbie Hale of Kansas and Debbie Jett of Edenton.  He also leaves behind his girlfriend, Skylar Perry, whom he loved andadored and shared a home with their dogs Draco, Bella and Shelby.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bobby Floyd, his uncles, Brian Floyd and Ryan Jett and aunt, April Torres.

Allen Michael loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. His infectious smile could light up any room. He was especially closewith his brothers, Darian and Jordan, whom he enjoyed spending time with and was extremely proud of. He enjoyed skateboarding and teaching others how to do tricks on his board.

Allen Michael was a caregiver, especially to his Nana, visiting her in the nursing home and making sure she was okay. He was afriend to everyone, no matter who you were or where you came from. He made it a point to make friends with anyone, especially anyone with special needs or disabilities. He loved animals and taking care of them, always wanting to adopt strays.

He truly was a friend to the world.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2022, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2022, also at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Darian Hale, Jordan Hale, Allen Newman, Romello Newman, Alex Goudie, Joey Jett, and Clay Boyd.
