Mrs. Patsy G. Leggett

Mrs. Patsy Griffin Leggett, age 83, a resident of Washington, died Friday, April 15, 2022, at Pruitt Health in Farmville.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.

Mrs. Leggett was born in Wilkes County, NC on March 25, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Grover Ezra Griffin and Virginia Bumgarner Griffin. Mrs. Leggett proudly worked in housekeeping at the Econo Lodge. She was a member of Old Ford Church of Christ.  She also enjoyed exercising with the seniors each week and attending her monthly Friends’ Lunch at King Chicken.

On April 29, 1988, she married Samuel Edward Leggett, who preceded her in death, August 10, 2015.

Mrs. Leggett is survived by a stepson, Donald Edward Leggett of Pensacola, FL; two brothers, Nona Lee Griffin of Washington and John Henry Griffin; two sisters, Nancy Ann Griffin, and Alma Louise Griffin both of North Wilkesboro, NC; half-sister, Jo Ann Griffin of Statesville, NC and two step grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Leggett was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Teresa Ann Leggett.
