Major Reading Blount Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution are proud to announce the recipients of the ROTC Medals. This award is presented to a junior or senior cadet enrolled in the high school ROTC program who has exhibited outstanding ability and achievement. Recipients must have demonstrated loyalty and patriotism and earned a record of military and scholastic achievement during their participation in the ROTC program.

Cadet Sgt. Jewell Powell of the Washington High School ROTC received her certificate and medal from Regent Cathy Whichard in December at the Military Ball. Major Kent Cast, Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at Northside High School, presented the certificate and medal to Cadet Carmine Elenes at the ROTC Spring Awards Banquet.
