Randy Wayne Respess, age 75, a resident of Washington, NC died Wednesday May 4, 2022, at his home.

No services will be held.

Mr. Respess was born in Beaufort County on February 14, 1947, to the late Joseph J. Respass and Fannie Modlin. On November 5, 1966, he married Becky Dean Smith. He graduated from Pantego High School and attended some classes at Beaufort County Community College. Mr. Respess retired from Weyerhaeuser in 2009. He enjoyed yard work, helping others, sitting on his front porch, smoking cigarettes, and talking with his neighbors.

Survivors include his wife, Becky S. Respess of the home; two sons, Troy Wayne Respess of Washington, Christopher “Pete” Respess and wife Noel of Pinetown; four grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Respess of Greenville, Matthew Wayne Respess and wife Kelsey of Washington, Cody Lee Respess of Virginia, Colton David Respess of Virginia and one great grandson on the way.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Respass.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC  27834.
