A group from the Washington Yacht and Country Club won the girls Eastern NC Jr. Golf League Division B Championship.

Team members include Claire Holmes, Sophie Berry, Sally Ross, Arabella Collie and Georgia Barwick.

They competed in five matches at various courses over the summer and the points they accumulated were significantly more than the second place team.

Some of them will compete August 11 at the Girls Final Championships at Minnesott CC.

Chris Stembridge will compete at the Boys Championships at Wedgewood  Monday
