Pamlico River Ferry suspends services Thursday only

AURORA – The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Bayview-Aurora ferry route will be suspending service between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 18 to perform preventative repairs and maintenance on the ramp at the Aurora terminal, weather permitting, according to information sent by the department.

The route will serve commuters in the early morning before the maintenance begins with the scheduled 5:45 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. departures from Bayview and the 6:30 a.m. departure from Aurora. 

After the work is complete, service will resume with the 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. departures from Aurora and the 5:40 p.m. departure from Bayview, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation.
