During the month of December and the beginning of January 2023, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of breaking and entering at buildings in the Bonnerton area of Aurora.  The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation and collected evidence.

As a result of the investigation, detectives charged Lori Waters Hines, age 50, of Greenville with six counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, three counts of Larceny After Breaking and Entering and one count of Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering.

On March 2, 2023 Lori was arrested by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office and taken before a Pitt County Magistrate and released on a $50,000 unsecured bond.
