Mary Louise Waters, Age 69, of Washington, NC went home to be with her Lord on April 27, 2023 after a brief illness.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Stanley Wayne Hopkins of Washington, NC; her brother Ted Waters of Ocala, FL; her nephew, Craig Waters; niece Holly Waters; a sister-in-law, Carol Waters all of Chesterfield, VA.  Also, she leaves several great nieces and great nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Jesse F. Waters and Lula H. Waters of the Free Union Community; her brother Fred Waters of Chesterfield, VA and her sister-in-law, Maddalena Waters of Ocala, FL.

Mary graduated from Pantego High School in 1972. She graduated from Hardbarger Business College in 1974.  She worked for several businesses in the Raleigh area before returning home to work at Tideland Electric Membership Corporation in Pantego, NC as the Work Order Accountant from 1992 until her retirement in 2003.

Mary loved beach music and was a member of the Eastern North Carolina Shag Club. She loved spending time with her longtime high school friends and going to the beach with her Raleigh friends.  Mary loved and revered her many loving cousins and friends. She treasured each one and loved them with all her heart. Each one was special to her.

Her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ guided and influenced every aspect of her life.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Thank each one of you for loving our Mary.
