The Humane Society of Beaufort County along with Goose Creek State Park are sponsoring the second annual Parks and Paws festival Saturday May 13 from 10:00 until 2:00 at Goose Creek State Park. The festival will celebrate everything with fur, feathers, paws, hooves and the people that love them. Demonstrations will include Drake Parker with Top Dog Academy, Mariah Mordecai, Bath 4H, Lydia Nikac with WGW K9 and Paws and Love cat rescue. Attendees will enjoy amazing demonstrations of canine obedience as well as livestock judging and feline trap/neuter/release techniques. Other displays will include exotic animals, wildlife and companion animal rescue groups. A food truck will be onsite to provide refreshment to the crowd. The Humane Society will have a yard sale table with gently used pet supplies and a “Smooch the Pooch” booth.
