WASHINGTON — Effective immediately, the weekend public operating schedule of the Republic Services Beaufort County Transfer Station, located at 500 Flanders Filters Road, Washington, NC 27889, has been revised.

The transfer station will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month. If a holiday falls on the first Saturday of the month, the transfer station will be open on the second Saturday. The site will no longer be open to the public every Saturday.

Beaufort County is contracting with Republic Services to offer residents a weekend disposal option for waste not accepted at County Collection Sites, such as Construction and Demolition waste.

Patrons must follow all facility rules and regulations. Patrons will be responsible for paying disposal fees with a check, debit card, or credit card. Cash is not accepted.
