Northside’s Andrew Harding finishes 2nd, 3rd at indoor track state final

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Northside senior Andrew Harding picked up a second-place finish and a third-place finish in two events on Friday at the Class 1A/2A state indoor track and field championships.

Harding finished third in the 1,600-meter run in 4:27.25. Corvian Community’s Carson Williams won the event in 4:20.90 while Will Cuicchi of Seaforth was second in 4:25.65.

Harding placed second in the 3,200-meter run, finishing in 9:46. Seaforth’s Jack Anstrom was first in 9:33.78.

Harding recently signed to run at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and was recently named the Male Athlete of the Year in cross country by HighSchoolOT.com. He will take part in the spring track season for the Panthers.
