Peggy Wallace Satterthwaite, age 80, a resident of Pantego, NC died Sunday, February 16, 2025 at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation.

A funeral service was held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Pantego Christian Church and was officiated by Jim Bussell. Pallbearers included Greg Coltrain, Johnny Joyner, Matthew Adams, Matthew Neal, Tyler Lassiter, and Tyler Sawyer.

The family received friends from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at Pantego Christian Church and other times at the home of Tammy Pugh at 445 Wilkinson Station Rd., Pantego, NC 27860.

Mrs. Satterthwaite was born on December 8, 1944 to the late Dennis M. Wallace, Sr. and Lena Beacham Wallace. She was a 1963 graduate of Pantego High School. On October 13, 1963 she married Jim Harvey Satterthwaite who preceded her in death on October 2, 2018. Mrs. Satterthwaite was a Teacher Assistant and Secretary for Beaufort County Elementary School and Northeast Elementary School. She was a member of Pantego Christian Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Tammy S. Pugh and husband Charles of Pantego, Amy S. Spring and husband Ricky of Pinetown, three grandchildren, Kayla Lassiter and husband Tyler, Layla Brock, Jamie Lynn Daniels, two step grandchildren, Alexis Pugh, Charles Pugh, III, a brother, Dennis M. Wallace, Jr. and wife Doris of Pantego, and one great grandchild expected in August.
