Hyde County offices and all solid waste convenience sites will be closed on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, due to the approaching winter storm.

Hyde County is currently under a Winter Weather Advisory. Heavy mixed precipitation is possible with total snow/sleet accumulations of one to two inches with locally higher amounts and light ice accumulations possible. We could also see some power outages from ice accumulations.

If you are outside, use caution and wear appropriate clothing. Do not forget about your pets!!!

Traveling in these conditions will be extremely unsafe! Remember that bridges freeze before roads do!! Everyone should finish up their storm preparations before freezing temperatures set in.
