On Thursday, Feb. 20 at noon, Duke Energy Progress reported 296 total power outages in the Chocowinity and Aurora areas.

The latest anticipated time of restoration is 10 p.m. Thursday.

Most of the power outages are off of Tunstall Swamp Road in Aurora with 108 outages. According to Duke Energy, the cause of the power outage is unknown, but crews are working to restore power. The outage was first reported at 2:07 a.m. on Thursday.

In Chocowinity, there are 18 power outages on Gray Road near Highway 17. The outage was first reported at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. At this time, the cause of the outages is unknown. According to Duke Energy a crew has been assigned to restore power.
