Mrs. Linda Butler Fann, age 80, a resident of Washington, NC died Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home with family and loved ones by her side.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Washington officiated by Pastor Matt Carr and Dr. Greg Barmer. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27 and prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Fann was born in Lee County on October 24, 1944, daughter of the late John Wilson Butler and the late Viola Register Butler Byrd. She graduated as salutatorian of her class at Anderson Creek High School in Harnett County. She is survived by the love of her life, Kelly Don Fann, whom she married on June 3, 1967. She was Director of Finance & Operations for Page Management in Washington for over 45 years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Washington where she was a passionate Sunday School teacher, served as a Deacon, and was an active participant on various committees. She was also a devoted member of the WMU. She was a prayer warrior who co-founded the FBC prayer chain. She enjoyed fellowship, gardening, and playing dominoes. Her greatest love and enjoyment was spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving along with her husband Don of the home are her daughters: Kellie Fann Williams and her husband Landrum of Greenville, and Bridget Fann Bilbro and her husband Michael of Washington; grandchildren: Holden Williams of San Diego, Elizabeth Williams of Raleigh, Mary Michael Bilbro of Greenville, Anna Claire Bilbro of Wilmington, and Samuel Bilbro of Washington; brother: Charlie Butler and his wife Margaret of Broadway; sister: Lois Butler Black of Bunnlevel; brothers-in-law: Don Strickland of Clayton and Larry Fann of Goldsboro; sister-in-law: Sharon Fann of Woodstock, Georgia; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Mrs. Fann was predeceased, along with her parents, by a sister: Bobbie Butler Strickland of Clayton.
