Northside boys fall in second round of state playoffs

DURHAM, N.C. — The Northside High School boys’ basketball team fell in the second round of the Class 1A state playoffs on Friday as Voyager Academy picked up an 80-47 home victory.
The Vikings improved to 22-5 while Northside ended its season at 21-6.
Voyager jumped to a quick lead and never gave it up, increasing it to 32-12 with about two minutes left in the first half.
Manny Pullium led Voyager with 14 points while Will Cameron had 12 points and Lionel McCullough had 10 points.
Voyager was scheduled to face Wake Prep Academy in Tuesday’s third round.
