Winds

  • South / Southwest winds are expected to increase after 6pm tomorrow, becoming sustained around 10mph with frequent gust of 15 to 25 mph through Tuesday 3am morning. (Especially along our waterfront and open farmland communities.)

Rain / Thunderstorms

Tomorrow will bring two different rounds of rain for our area.

  • The first will be a period of scattered showers (40 to 45% chance) between 6am and noon.
  • The second round is expected to occur between 7pm Monday night and 4am Tuesday (45 to 70% chance), with most areas receiving about a ¼ inch.

o   Strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain, damaging winds and isolated tornados are also possible during this time. (Beaufort Co. has been included in the “Enhanced” weather outlook, meaning numerous severe storms are possible.)

 Attached is an updated briefing for the severe thunderstorm risk on Monday, March 31, 2025.

WHAT’S NEW – The forecast hasn’t changed significantly, but we have added a timing graphic to help depict when we expect the best chance of thunderstorms, and when the greatest risk of strong to severe thunderstorms may be.

The timing is subject to change, as there are several different scenarios that may play out regarding the thunderstorm risk. Stay tuned for updates through Monday.
