March Madness will be on later today, as I write this Saturday afternoon. The winner of the Florida-Auburn game will face the winner of the Duke and Houston game on Monday night. I don’t like to pull for a college team now with the transfer portal and name ,image and likeness ( NIL ) in play, but I will pull for Duke today and hopefully in the finals.

My son attended Duke and his wife also attended Duke. We went to the ACC tournament the years he attended Duke. The seats were not crowded and we learned a few lessons on getting tickets at the ACC tournament. The lessons he learned at the tournaments, he applied to take his daughter Calista to the games in Raleigh. Ole Miss got beat early and he asked and got a few seats in the Ole Miss fans section.

Calista got accepted to Duke and that makes me so proud. My daughter-in-law, my son and now my granddaughter got accepted into Duke. So you can believe I will be pulling for Duke, but it’s out of my control. I did in the ACC when Will was there and the National Championship game. They won two National Championships while Will was there under Coach K.

The National Championship will have been played and over by the time this newspaper comes out. Calista is a proud granddaughter and she makes me very proud of her. So, Tracey and I will be pulling hard for Duke.
