Mr. Thomas Lafayette Guthrie, Sr., age 92, a resident of Belhaven, NC died Friday, April 11, 2025, at his home.

No services will be held at this time.

Mr. Guthrie was born in Beaufort County on November 10, 1932 to the late Charlie Fenner Guthrie and Lizzie Kinnion Guthrie. He was a long time member of the Belhaven Fire Department.

Survivors include his domestic partner, Wanda B. Cutler, three children, Vernon Lever Guthrie and wife Maryann of Belhaven, Charlene Guthrie Simpkins of Washington, Thomas Lafayette Guthrie, Jr and wife Florina of Belhaven, four grandchildren, Thomas Guthrie, III, Jennifer Elliott, Chance Simpkins, Hayden Guthrie, seven step grandchildren, Claudia Roman, Maria Roman, Jahaira Roman, Karen Roman, Daniel Dahlman, Michelle Koonce, Michael Myers, and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his siblings.
