At approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday (April 16), first responders were dispatched to a mobile home fire on Chambers Road in Pinetown.

Witnesses reported that the fire started at the rear of the structure. When responders arrived on scene, the structure was fully involved in flames. No one was in the home when the fire started.

First responders from Bath, Bunyan, Pinetown, Beaufort County Emergency Services and Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office were involved in the response.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. This incident is under investigation.
