Postseason begins for PCA baseball, softball, soccer

The NC Independent Schools Athletic Association has released brackets for baseball, softball and soccer for the state playoffs.
Play begins Tuesday for baseball and girls’ soccer, while softball begins on Friday.
Pungo Christian’s baseball team (12-8) is the No. 2 seed and received a first-round bye. The Raiders will host the winner of No. 7 Ridgecroft School (11-7) vs. Neuse Christian Academy (3-8), which will play Tuesday at Ridgecroft. Pungo will play on Friday in the quarterfinals.
In softball, Pungo Christian (6-11) is the No. 5 seed in the Division III softball state playoffs. The Raiders will go to No. 4 Ridgecroft (9-5) for a game on Friday. The winner will go to No. 1 Cape Fear Academy (9-1) for a semifinal contest on May 13.
In girls’ soccer, PCA (6-5-1) is the No. 6 seed and hosts Ridgecroft (3-6) on Tuesday. The winner will play at Oakwood School (6-7-1) in Greenville, which is the No. 1 seed.
