Michael Edumnd Wall, age 77, of The Woodlands Texas passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. He was surrounded by friends and family. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Edmund and Martha Sasnette Wall. He is survived by a sister, Sharon Whitehurst (Logan) of Washington NC and a niece, Dr. Amanda Whitehurst of Washington DC. He is also survived by a step-son, Bryant Bass (Barbara) and four grandchildren, Sally, Spencer, and Sadie Bass of Wilmington NC and Skylar Bass of Charlotte NC.
Mike grew up in Washington NC where he attended Washington High School. He graduated from Hargrave Military Academy in Danville VA. He then attended East Carolina University before joining the Marine Corp. He served two years in Viet Nam before returning to East Carolina University and graduating with a BS in Corrections. He was then hired by the Secret Service where he served for 25 years from 1977 until 2002. After 9-11, Mike retired from the Secret Service and began working for Homeland Security. He served as a Federal Air Marshal for 12 years, from 2002 until 2014. He lived in Texas while working for Homeland Security and continued to make The Woodlands Texas his home after retirement.
Mike dedicated much of his life to his country. He will be laid to rest on May 13, 2025, with a full military funeral at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
