Crews respond to residential fire in Chocowinity

At approximately 6:34 a.m Wednesday, local first responders were dispatched to a two-story residential structure fire on Old New Bern Road in Chocowinity.

First responders from Chocowinity, Washington, Blounts Creek, Bunyan, Old Ford, Beaufort County Emergency Services, Highway Patrol and Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office were involved in the response

The first units on scene reported seeing flames on the left side of the home. Both occupants were out of the house.

The fire is under investigation.
