Trey Austin Shawver, age 20, a resident of Washington, NC died Thursday, April 10, 2025 in Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Trey was born in Danville, PA on July 2, 2002 to Brian Lee Shawver and Alyssa Thomas. He was a graduate of Washington High School. Trey was a Culinary Specialist in the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sister, hanging with friends, and joking around. Trey cared for so many people, especially his family. He loved his dogs Ben and Lucy.

Survivors include his mother, Alyssa Thomas of Washington, two brothers, Ty Shawver of Pennsylvania, Brian Shawver, Jr. of Washington, and a sister, Sadie Shawver of Washington.

He is preceded in death by his father, Brian Lee Shawver, Sr., and his grandfather, Clayton Shawver.
