Robert James Paciocco, Sr., 89, of Washington, North Carolina finished his earthly life on May 29, 2025. Bob was born on August 30, 1935. He was a graduate of the University of Richmond and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served numerous churches in Virginia, including Oakwood Memorial Baptist, and worked at the Virginia Baptist Board in Richmond. He proudly served his country from 1957 until 1969 as a Chaplain with the US Navy and Marine Corps. From 1984 through 2001 he was an executive director for Mid-East Commission in Washington, North Carolina until his retirement, and then went on to serve as executive director of development for Beaufort-Hyde in 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie, his children, Terry, (Dale) Walker, Susan (Brian) Pence, Michael Paciocco, David Paciocco, Dinah Paciocco, former wife, Betty Kirby Paciocco, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Paciocco Jr., his parents and three brothers.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at the First Baptist Church (113 N. Harvey St.) in Washington, NC on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 2:00pm, with a visitation immediately following.
