BCSO: Search warrant leads to multiple felony drug charges

On June 4, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in southeast Beaufort County after an investigation that spanned several months. As a result of the search warrant, investigators located and seized 21 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of marijuana, 6 grams of fentanyl and $1,502 in US currency.
Craig Desmond Taylor, 57, was arrested and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $325,000 secured bond for the following charges:
-(2) counts of Trafficking in Fentanyl
-(1) count of PWISD Schedule II (Fentanyl)
-(1) count of PWISD Cocaine
-(1) count of PWISD Methamphetamine
-(1) count of Felony Maintain a Dwelling to Keep/Sell Controlled Substances
-(1) count of Possess Marijuana >1/2 to 1 ½ Ounce
-(2) counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office continues to work with surrounding law enforcement agencies, and public partners to reduce the effects of deadly fentanyl in Beaufort County through enforcement, public awareness, and education.
