Summer camps begin at high schools

With the end of the school season comes a week filled with sports camps that will be hosted at the different high schools in Beaufort County.

Camps actually began last week with Pungo Christian Academy holding a soccer camp. Activities will continue this week with a basketball camp at Northside High School and a football camp held at Pungo Christian Academy.

Below is information on all the camps available through information posted by each school on its Facebook page or website. Contact each school for further information or visit the school Facebook page for QR codes to register and other information.

Wednesday

Future Panthers Basketball Camp

– Organized by Northside High School basketball coaches Michelle Leathers and Jared Adams

– Ages 6-9 (10-11:20 a.m.)

– Ages 10-14 (11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.)

– $20 per athlete, $5 for coach or parent

– Payment due the day of the camp

June 9-13

Boys Football Camp with Pungo Christian Academy football coach Alex Sefton

– 5:30 – 7 p.m. each night

– Open to all ages

– Cost: $125 

June 16-19

Summer Baseball Camp

– Organized by Washington High School baseball coach Will Tyson

– Two sessions and a pitching/catching camp

– Open for ages 6-14

– Ages 6-9 (June 16-17)

– Ages 10-14 (June 18-19)

– Ages 9-14 pitching/catching (June 19)

June 16-20

Girls Volleyball Camp with former Pungo Christian Academy Raiders and current Bridgewater College standout Reagan Stoop

– 9-11 a.m. each day

– Open to girls in rising 5th – 12th grade

– Cost: $100

June 23 – 27

Boys Basketball Camp with coach Logan Van Staalduinen

– Middle school boys: 10 a.m. to noon

– High school boys: 3 – 5 p.m.

– Cost: $100 

Girls Basketball Camp with coach Logan Van Staalduinen

– Rising 6th – 12th grades, 12:30-2:30 p.m.

– Cost: $100 

June 17-18

Southside Youth Football Camp

– Organized by Southside football coach Andrea Quinerly

– Open for students in third-eighth grades

– Runs 8 a.m. to noon each day

June 24th and 26th 

Junior Basketball Camp with coach Logan Van Staalduinen

– 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. for rising K – 5 boys and girls

– Cost: $50 

July 14-16

Terra Ceia Christian School Cross Country Camp

– Organized by coaches Mark and Brandi Cagle

– Open for any middle and high school runner

– Cost is $165. Coaches clinic will also be held

– Thomas Valles from “McFarland USA” will be among the speakers. He will speak on July 14 from 6-6:45 p.m.

Southside Volleyball Camp

– Organized by Southside coaches Misty Mooring and Sarah Petty.

– Open to rising fourth through eighth graders

– 9 a.m. to noon each day

– Registration is $30 and includes a T-shirt
