WPD arrests fugitive from Virginia

On Thursday, June 12, 2025 officers with the Washington Police Department received credible information regarding a fugitive from Virginia possibly present at 108 E. 8th Street, Washington NC. Officers determined the subject, Aaron Snider, was indeed wanted and developed a plan for his apprehension.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. this morning Snider was taken into custody by Washington Police Department officers. Snider was served with Fugitive warrants out of Virginia where he is charged with Rape of a Handicapped Person.
Snider is being held without bond awaiting his return to Virginia.
